ProximityParks, specialized in the development of industrial parks for last mile logistics in Mexico, acquired a 4.9 hectare industrial property in the Vallejo area (north of Mexico City) for approximately $40 million. The property, now called ProximityParks Vallejo I, is the largest and most modern in the Vallejo industrial corridor.
Located on Ceylan Avenue, the property offers connectivity with high-density consumer areas such as Polanco, Naucalpan, Centro, Condesa, Satélite and Lindavista, which facilitates fast and economical deliveries.
ProximityParks Vallejo I has a warehouse area of more than 28 thousand square meters (m2) , it is leased to five companies: Unilever, Steren, Truper, Etiflex (ProMach) and Sánchez y Martín.
Mario Berlanga, CEO and co-founder of ProximityParks, commented that “this acquisition represents a great milestone for our portfolio, with which we continue to strengthen our position as the leading provider of industrial spaces for last mile logistics in the main cities of Mexico.”
In this sense, he reported that the investment is due to the growing demand for more efficient and sustainable logistics solutions in the metropolitan areas of Mexico.
He indicated that the growth of electronic commerce has increased the need for strategic locations that allow fast deliveries and with less environmental impact.
