MSC, the largest shipping line in the world, reported that it has launched a new transport service, Dahlia , with which it will provide additional capacity for the commercial connection between southern China and the west coast of Mexico.
“This new service will provide customers with a premium loop rotation that will serve trade between southern China and Mexico, as well as additional network coverage and frequency between Asia and Mexico,” the company said in a statement.
Dahlia joins its existing Andes, Aztec, Inca, Mexicas and Santana services .
In addition, he explained that the incorporation of Dahlia will allow it to modify its Mexicas service with an additional stop in Tianjin Xingang to guarantee operational synergies.
Dahlia’s complete rotation is: Shekou – Xiamen – Shanghai – Busan – Manzanillo – Lázaro Cárdenas.
MSC indicated that the first voyage will be with the MSC FLORIANA VI number 431A on August 3, 2024 from Shekou.
While the new complete Mexicas rotation will be modified to: Tianjin Xingang – Qingdao – Ningbo – Busan – Manzanillo – Lázaro Cárdenas.
The first voyage will be with MSC INES number QM431A on August 3, 2024 from Tianjin Xingang.
MSC ranks as the largest capacity shipping line in the world, with 5,921,604 20-foot containers (TEU) under its management and 830 vessels, according to Alphaliner data.
