Foton México apuesta por la especialización de la atención al clienteTo continue its expansion plans in the national market and strengthen the team, as well as relationships with customers and strategic partners, Foton Mexico has bolstered its management team with Francisco Chávez as CEO and Pablo Torrejón as Commercial Director.

During his official presentation, Chávez stated that he will work to further establish the brand throughout the country, based on a focused strategy. In an interview with T21, the executive communicated that the brand is currently working on joint strategies with its distributor network.

“We are investing in the specialization of the commercial and customer service areas. For this, we will have distribution contracts for commercial vehicles and distribution contracts for pickups and vans (passenger segment). This way, we will differentiate the attention and commercialization of our products to specialize our activities,” detailed Chávez.

The executive shared that the next step in Foton’s plan is to evaluate those commercial vehicle distributors who may be eligible or susceptible to carry a bus franchise contract, according to the entities that seem potential for the commercialization of this type of vehicle.

Chávez indicated that the batteries are charged to address the pickup and van segments and continue the growth of commercial vehicles. Additionally, he detailed that Foton Mexico currently has 24 distributors, with plans to add 16 more by the end of the year.

While the process of opening a new distributor requires several steps, for Francisco Chávez, one of the most important is the training of technicians who will be responsible for the after-sales service of the units.

“Until recently, we did not have specific training content for Mexico; everything was brought from China; that’s why in 2023, we prepared a team of masters who are responsible for assisting new distributors with materials in our language with a language that allows understanding all the concepts of vehicle technologies,” affirmed the CEO of Foton.

To consolidate the above, Foton established the distributor development area with a specialized structure for each segment, both in the commercial and after-sales service parts. “This allowed us to create a standard dealer, which we are rolling out to new distributors and adapting to the old ones, with the aim of having the same level of attention in all the locations we have,” he said.

Likewise, to strengthen the commercial area and meet the goal of selling 12 thousand units in 2024, Foton appointed Pablo Torrejón as the leader of the area. In an interview with T21, the executive stated that the strategy is to consolidate trust in the products and services that the brand offers.

“The purpose is to meet the needs of each of the clients based on the perfect understanding of their operations; we seek to adapt to them and not the other way around. In this sense, we have specialists in each of the segments we handle: passengers, light and medium duty, heavy-duty, and electrification,” Torrejón indicated.

It is worth mentioning that as of June 1 of the current year, José Manuel Armenta assumed the role of Vice President of Commercial and Institutional Relations of LDR Solutions, the parent company of Foton in Mexico.

“These transitions mark a new chapter in our history; I am convinced that with this renewed management team, we are well positioned to face the challenges and seize the opportunities that arise in the future. Their experience, leadership, and commitment to excellence will be fundamental to continue driving the growth and success of Foton,” detailed Miguel Ángel Velasco, CEO of Grupo LDR Solutions.
